Always

I unpicked the drawstring channel and removed the twill handle, this bag is taller than usual and it was just flopping around.

“Yes, yes,” I’d rather have a bossy Tom Nook annoyingly flopping around anyways.

Homemade coconut raisin granola with walnuts and chia, slightly under roasted so it’s still got some chew, mixing in the raisins and coconut after it’s out of the oven, but still warm.

Sometimes when we make homemade granola, we take it slow, keeping it natural using local maple syrup and honey, other times we take the absolute easiest route and use regular old store bought pancake syrup. There are no rules.

Catching the end of lilac season, and the beginning of spider season.

let’s not

That time we moved the bed and that night neither of us could sleep because we had a new side, and after midnight we flipped and tried sleeping at the foot of the bed and it still didn’t feel right, and the only good things that came out of it were you found your chess set, and I found where I put all the kitchen cotton, and the next day I made your sleepy face some coffee and a bedroom colored dishcloth, and yes I love you, but no, I still don’t want to play chess.

(P.S been trying every excuse to work these lovely cafe hooks, going back to my very beginnings of utility crochet 💕)

Ready

The grey days, the false starts, the melt, the mud, the fresh restlessness of seeing bare ground. The warmth of constantly being above freezing and an end to bundling and unbunling whenever you go anywhere. Feeling small, new, little green things (who knows what they are) poking out of the bleek landscape. I’m ready for new projects, bubbling over with ideas and longing for straight from the garden vegetables, I’m ready for you spring. 💕
