It usually starts with a bag, because I love sewing just as much as I love knitting (especially green gingham ..I also really love matching pens & pencils too). Sometimes there’s a middle of the road stitch marker swap, doughnuts for hearts, because lately I love making cute stitch markers just as much as I love sewing and knitting. Then a bag switch, just for a dirty afternoon or two (dirty afternoons around here require dirt colored things). The ever changing light of progress, a new heel technique, the right pinback badges to express my heart, rounded toes, the purple on purple of these socks for this non-purple person, one sock done, then two, they’re just for me, a satisfying fact, no one will ever know the kick-ass handmade sweetness lying just under the laces.

Aww Julie 💗, how sweet of you to say! Thank you for spending a little of your day with me. Doesn’t putting ideas into motion that have been lurking feel so good! (I find even if they don’t always work out, or I don’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would, it’s something I can cross off the “oooo need to try this” list, making room for new stuff!
